I have owned this car for 13 years. During that time I have tried to be a good steward and provide the car with whatever it needed.

It’s been said that being a Citroen owner is a sort of disease. After having 4 Citroens as my first cars, I went into remission…for 40+ years! Then the bug bit BAD. I bought a CX, a DS and an SM. Well, due to losing my long-term indoor heated storage I am forced to go into remission again.

Since I have owned my DS I have had the car stripped and painted, reupholstered the interior, Installed a John Titus starter, chromed the door handles, changed the steering rack, had the steering wheel recovered with hand-formed and hand-stitched leather, replaced the accumulator sphere, replaced the hydraulic pump, replaced the battery, replaced the vinyl shroud, replaced the tires, powder coated the wheels, installed Pallas hubcaps, powder coated the battery tray, tuned up the engine, replaced the fuel pump, replaced a muffler (which may need doing again), resealed the exhaust, restored the air cleaner assembly, changed a radiator hose, replaced the outer window weatherstripping, had the bumpers and stainless trim buffed and changed the oil yearly.
